We also purchased a property on Indian Point near Branson Mo in August 2023 (70 Timber Oaks Trail “F” Near Silver Dollar City). We did a complete renovation to this four bedroom, six king bed, four bath lodge with all new furnishings, paint, flooring and decorations.

Business Background
Steve was converting a Victorian rooming house into a duplex plus working on a commercial real estate venture and Suellen was working on the local college campus. In August of 1977, with a six month old baby, we moved to Medicine Lodge, KS where Steve purchased his father’s oil and gas business. We have owned multiple different businesses… oil and gas, used auto sales, modular home sales, rentals including apartment complexes/rental homes/commercial buildings/farm ground, with Steve managing and Suellen as bookkeeper. As we are now in our 70s we are downsizing and as we sell real estate that we actively manage we are investing in nightly rental properties that can be managed for us.
Historic Water's Edge Cottages
We purchased the Historical Water’s Edge Cottages in Rockaway Beach Missouri on February 16, 2022. It has a total of nine cottages which were built in the late 1920s and early 1930s except for the big cottage that was built in the 1980s. When we purchased the cottages they were being used as monthly rental and were in need of much repair. The cottages have each been renovated from the ground up with much care and attention to detail. We have done our best to upgrade these cottages to be comfortable for our guest yet quaint.
